L.C. Pack, 86, of Whitehouse died January 12 in the Paintsville
Hospital after an illness of several months.

He was a retired merchant and miner and was affiliated with the
Freewill Baptist Church at Hammond.

He was a son of the late Will Pack and Mary VanHoose Pack.

Immediate survivors include his wife, Lena Carter Pack, one son,
Fred Pack of Jenkins, three daughters, Mrs. Willis Daniel of
Middletown, Ohio, Mrs. Mabel Daniel and Mrs. Verla Wiley, both of
Paintsville, and one brother, McKinley Pack of Ashland, Lucasville,
Ohio and Clora Quigley of Richmond, Indiana.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Charles Stapelton and Scott
Castle on Sunday, February 11 at 1:00 p.m. in the First Freewill
Baptist Church in Paintsville.

Burial followed in the Watson Cemetery at Sandy Hook under
direction of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
