ALMA O'BRIAN 1923-2006 Funeral services were held Sunday, July 23, 2 p.m. at the Hager Hill Free Will Baptist Church for Alma Blevins O’Brian, 82, of Paintsville, Ky., who passed away Thursday, July 20 at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center in Paintsville. Mrs. O’Brian was born Oct. 15, 1923 in Johnson County, Ky., daughter of the late Lewis and Dona McKenzie Blevins. She was a homemaker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Richard Lee O’Brian. Surviving are six sons, Wesley Lewis O’Brian of Paintsville, Nicky Leonard O’Brian of Sitka, Ky., Elbert O’Brian of Wittensville, Ky., Scottie Patrick O’Brian of Thealka, Ky., Jimmy Ray O’Brian of Tutor Key, Ky., and Ricky Harrison O’Brian of Lexington, Ky.; four daughters, Alma Mae Stambaugh and Sondra Kay Bowens, both of Staffordsville, Ky., Dona Sue Poe of Paintsville, and Bethal Gertrude Howell of Lowmansville, Ky.; two brothers, Lewis Blevins Jr. and Arville Blevins, both of Staffordsville; four sisters, Mary Justice of Indiana, Sola Stephens of Ohio, Alice Hale of Fairborn, Ohio, and Alka Fitch of Martin, Ky.; and 44 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and one great-great- grandchild. The service was officiated by the Rev. Ronnie Spriggs, with burial in the Jayne Cemetery on Persimmon Point at Staffordsville.
