CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS MUSIC "Lum" AGED RESIDENT OF NIPPA DIES OCT.15 1955 Services Friday for "Uncle Lum" Music COLUMBUS MUSIC 89, one of Johnson County's oldest and most respected citizens, died Tuesday afternoon, October 15 1955 at the home of his son, Kelly Music at Nippa. "Uncle Lum" as he was affectionately known to his many friends and neighbors, had been ill for the past year. He was born in Johnson County, the son of the late Abe & Rachel Collins Music, he had been a lifelong resident of the Nippa community. His Wife, Clarissa Castle Music preceded him in death September 25 1938. Survivors include, seven children: five sons, Kelly and Beecher, both of Nippa, Amos and John Wesley both of Van Lear, McKinley, Greenwich, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs.Virgie Ratliff, Springfield, Ohio, Mrs Sarah Isaac, Nippa; 60 grandchildren, 115 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at the Mouth of Rush Freewill Baptist Church at 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 18, with Millard Van Hoose and Claude Preston as officiating ministers. Burial was in the Clark Castle Cemetery at Nippa.
