Stella Mollett, 94, 451 Congress St., died at 8:40 a.m.
Sunday, March 29, 1998, at Community Care Center.
  
She was born on Feb. 19, 1904, in Boons Camp, Ky., to Melvin
and Minnie (Daniels) Dutton.
  
She married John C. Penix in Boons Camp, Ky., in 1925. He died
in 1944.
  
She owned and operated Penix Grocery in Paintsville, Ky., for
40 years. She was a member of the Old United Baptist Church,
Packerton.
  
Surviving are three sons, Port Penix, Wabash, Joe Penix,
Paintsville, Ky., and John Penix, Meally, Ky.; 26
grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-
grandchildren. Two sons, a daughter, three grandchildren; and
a sister are deceased.
  
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Jones & Preston
Funeral Home, Paintsville, Ky.
  
Burial will be in Daniels Cemetery, Johnson County, Ky
