HOMER MEEK
1931-2002
Homer Meek, 71, of Meally, died Sunday, Oct. 20, 2002, at his
residence.
Born Jan. 17, 1931, in Johnson County, he was a son of the
late Willis and Mollie Delong Meek.
He was a retired coal miner and a Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Mills Meek of Meally; three
daughters, Vickie Daniel of River, Tonya McDavid of Grayson
and Twana Hickman of Boons Camp; three sons, Steve Meek of
Stambaugh, Gary Meek of Boons Camp and James Meek of Meally;
two sisters, Joyce Blevins of Staffordsville and Darlene
Clark of W. Alexander, Ohio; two brothers, Arnold Meek of
Stanville and Paul Meek of Boons Camp; 14 grandchildren; and
two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Oct 23, at
Preston Funeral Chapel with Revs. David Meek and Isaac Rowland
officiating.
Burial will be in Meek Family Cemetery, under direction of
Preston Funeral Home.
