CHALLIE MAYHAN

Challie "Chat" Mayhan, 77, of Paintsville, died December 28 1996,
at Three Rivers Medical Center in Louisa.
  
He was born August 16 1920, in Paintsville, the son of Ernest
Mayhan and Chole Blanton.
  
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife Lillian
Mayhan.
  
He is survived by two sons, Jesse Mayhan, of Paintsville and Ronnie
Mayhan of Hager Hill; five daughters, Bonnie O'Brian of
Paintsville; Frances Henderson of Coca Beach, Fla.; Vicki Mayhan of
Inez; Anna Cole of Sitka and Pam Ramey of Paintsville; one brother,
Elmer Mayhan of Staffordsville; two sisters, Chlotine Kimbler of
Staffordsville and Pearlie King of Columbus, Ohio; eight
grandchildren and four great- grandchildren.
  
Services were January 1 1997, at the Fishtrap United Baptist Church
with Reverand Matthew Boyles and Andy Adams officiating.
     
Burial was at the Jayne Cemetery in Staffordsville.
