Curtis James May,66,died at his home at Swamp Branch at 3:30
p.m.,Wednesday August 21,after an illnes of four years.

The son of John M.and Caladona Collins May,he was born May
25,1897,in Floyd County.

He had resided at Swamp Branch most of his life,where he worked as
a carpenter. He was a member of the United Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife Mrs. Donnie Conley May; six sons,
Raymond May, Rochester,Indiana; Donald May, Patterson,Ohio; John
H., Fostoria, Ohio; Curtis Jr., Montella, Wisconsin; Joe D.and
Jack D.May both of Middleburg, Va.; three daughters Reva Brown,
Fostoria, Ohio; Edna Carol and Ruth Jeane Blaton both of Oil
Spring four brothers, Bruce May, Leesburg, Indiana; John May
Vanlue, Ohio; Robert and Conn May both of Warsaw, Indiana; three
sisters Mrs.Chloe Rice, Battle Creek, Michigan; Mrs.Dora Hill,
Williamson,W.VA.; Mrs.Ocie Bayes, Fulton, Micigan.

Funeral services were conductedat 1:00 p.m,Friday at the Riceville
Freewill Baptist Church with Claude Preston and Adam Marshall as
officiating ministers. Music was by the Paintsville Quartet.

Burial was in the Family cemetery.
