Harve Matney Dies On
January 12
  
Death claimed Harve Matney, Paintsville, Friday, January 12, 1945. He
was born at Grundy, Va., August 16, 1872.
  
On December 21, 1900, he was married to Mary Meek, who survives in
addition to one daughter, Katherine Hughes, three grand children and
one sister, Martha Ann Rhodes of Grundy.
  
Mr. Matney served two terms on the Paintsville City Council and was
in transportation business in this city.
  
Many years ago he became a Christian and was baptized by Bro. Charles
Slaughter at Pikeville, taking his membership with the Methodist
Church South.
  
He departed this life with his faith still in Christ.
  
Services were held Sunday, January 14, 1945, at 3:30 p.m. at the home
and burial was made in the Mayo cemetery by the Jones Funeral Home.
