LILLIAN MAHAN
1924-1990
Staffordsville resident, Lillian Mahan, 65, died Monday, January 22,
in Highlands Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Mahan was born March 26, 1924 in Johnson County, the daughter
of Jesse and Edna Mae McKenzie Jaynes. She was a member of the
Staffordsville Freewill Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Challie "Chat" Mahan; two sons, Jesse
Mahan, of Sitka, and Ronnie Mahan, of Paintsville; five daughters,
Bonnie O'Brian, of Wittensville, Frances Henderson, of Orlando,
Florida, Vickie Mahan, of Inez, Anna Cole, of Sitka and Pam Ramey,
of Paintsville; one brother, Melvin Jaynes, of Vine Grove; one
sister Pauline Adams, of Paintsville; and 10 grandchildren and two
great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, January 25, in Fishtrap United
Baptist Church at Staffordsville, with Revs. James Crider and
Matthew Boyles officiating.
Burial was in Jaynes Cemetery at Staffordsville, with Paintsville
Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
