JESSE JAYNES 1903-1966 Jesse Jaynes, 63 dies February 5, 1966 at Turner Branch Jesse Jaynes 63, died Saturday February 5, 6:30 a.m. at his home at Turner Branch from a heart attack. Born January 3, 1903 to J.W. and Cora Blanton Jaynes he was married to Mae McKenzie Jaynes who survives. A member of the Freewill Baptist Church he also survived by two daughters Mrs, Challie Mahan and Mrs. Andy Adams of Paintsville; one son, Melvin Jaynes of Vine Grove Ky., 19 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters; Frank Jaynes of Staffordsville, Mrs Amos Blanton of Jackson Ohio; Mrs. Grant Caudill of Cable Ohio; Mrs Dona Blanton and Mrs. Paris Blevins of Staffordsville. Funeral services were held Monday February 7, 11;00 a.m. at the Freewill Baptist Church Paintsville with Lonza Reed, John F. Ratliff and Scott Castle officiating. Interment was held in the Jaynes Cemetery, Staffordsville with the Paintsville Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
