Susie B. Hitchcock, 98, of Flat Gap, died
Tuesday, June 1, at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center,
Paintsville.
  
Born Nov. 25, 1905, in Johnson County, she was a daughter of the
late George and Minnie Daniels Brown. She was a homemaker and a
member of Cannon Chapel Church, Volga.
  
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Hitchcock.
  
Survivors include two sons, Hardis Joel Hitchcock of Port Clinton,
Ohio, and Sardis Noel Hitchcock of Volga; a daughter, Esther Gail
Brown of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; several grandchildren, great-
grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
  
Funeral services were Saturday, June 5, at Jones-Preston Funeral
Chapel, Paintsville, with Casey Jones, Jerry Ross and Paul Ratliff
officiating.
  
Burial was in Brown Family Cemetery, Volga, under direction of
Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
