SHORT ILLNESS
TAKES THEALKA MAN

Mr. Edd Hampton, 34, of Thealka, Kentucky, died, Sunday, January 30,
1949, in a local hospital after a short illness.

Mr. Hampton, a miner, was the son of Harry and Virgie Young Hampton
of Thealka, where he lived at the time of his death.

Among his survivors are his wife, Christine Bailey Hampton, and
daughter, Barbara Jean.

Also four brothers, Jack, Bill, Jim, and Howard, and six sisters,
Lizzie, Virginia, Josie, Sarah Margaret, Gertrude, and Clarinda. One
brother, Bernard, preceded him in death in 1945.

Burial services were conducted on Tuesday, February, 1, at the
Thealka Church, by the Revs. Don Fraley and Williard Wilcox.

Interment was in the Tackett Cemetery at Staffordsville, Kentucky,
under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home.
