Dies Tuesday

Mrs. Lula Hamilton, 67, of Red Bush, died at 3:40 a.m. February 2
in a local hospital following an illness of one year. She was the
wife of Reverend Henry Tivis Hamilton, to whom she was married
June 14, 1913.

Mrs. Hamilton was born at Red Bush July 25, 1897, a daughter of
John R. and Cynthia Brown Holbrook. She was a member of the
Enterprise Baptist Church.

Surviving besides her husband are three sons, John Hamilton and
Warren Hamilton, both of Glena, Ohio, Nelson Hamilton, Flat Gap,
one daughter, Mrs. Opal Curnutte, Stout, Ohio, and 14
grandchildren.

Other survivors are three brothers, Charles Holbrook, Van Lear;
Roy Holbrook, Paintsville; Ed Holbrook, Red Bush, Mrs. John Fyffe,
Staffordsville; Mrs. Susan Barnes, Canton, Ohio, and Mrs. Elsie
Conley, Red Bush.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Red
Bush Enterprise Baptist Church. Officiating ministers will be
Arnold Reed, Ellis Hamilton, Tommy Bailey and Hood Wallen.
Special songs will be sung by Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ross.

Burial will be in the Hamilton Cemetery at Red Bush.
