BERTHA FRANKLIN 1882-1954 Keaton Woman Dies Monday Services Wednesday For Mrs. Franklin Mrs. Bertha Franklin, 72, died at her home in Keaton following an illness of six months. The daughter of the late John and Victoria Williams Osborne, she was born in Johnson County, September 11, 1882. She was preceded in death by her husband Walker Franklin, 10 years ago. Surviving are two sons, Millard and Walker Franklin Jr., both of Keaton, and one daughter, Juanita Evans, also of Keaton. Other survivors include the following brothers and sisters, Harrison Osborne, Red Bush; Amba Keaton, Elk Fork; Elva Fyffe, Keaton; Laura Segraves, Staffordsville; Carrie Skaggs, Cardell; Alva Bailey, Ironton, Ohio. Funeral services were held this afternoon at the Upper Keaton United Baptist Church with Tommy Bailey and Pete Keaton as officiating ministers. Burial was made in the Hamilton Cemetery at Red Bush under the direction of the Paintsville Funeral Home. PAINTSVILLE HERALD NOV.3 1954
