MILAN FIELDS Local Resident Dies Friday; Services Monday Mr. Milan Fields, 75, of Paintsville, died Friday in a local hospital following an illness of a year. Born June 27, 1881, at Odds, Ky., he was the son of the late Eulis and Irene Brad Fields. Mr. Fields was a retired miner and had lived in Southside Addition for the past 13 years. He was a member of the Church of Christ. On August 17, 1941, he was united in marriage to Tessie Burke Fields, who survives. Surviving besides his wife are three sons, John M. Fields, Eugene Fields, both of Van Lear, Ky., and Elmer Lee Fields, Price, Ky.; two daughters, Mrs. Virgie Brown, Cincinnati, Ohio, and Mrs. Beulah Howard, Slagie, Wva.; one sister, Mrs. Callie Bledsoe, Columbus, Ohio; twenty-two grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday morning at the Daniels Creek Church of Christ with Leonard Webb as officiating minister. Burial was made in the Collins Cemetery at Daniels Creek under the direction of the Preston Funeral Home. Paintsville Herald October 3, 1956
