RICHARD DANIELS
Louisa, Ky. Richard Daniels, 41 Betsy Lane, Ky. a salesman for the J.R.Watkins Company of Memphis, Tenn., shot and fatally wounded himself in the left breast with a 45 calibre pistol Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Charley,Ky. Dr. Henry S Yound, Lawrence County Coroner, reported.
At the inquest, the coroner's jury rendered a verdict of "suicide". Mr. Daniels had been in ill health for some time which is believed to have been the cause of the act. He was the son of James Monroe Daniels and the late Lucrittia Castle Daniels.
Funeral services were held Saturday at the Sycamore School at Nippa, Johnson COunty, Ky., with the Rev.Millard VanHoose officiating.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs Esta Dickson Daniels; two daughters, Florence and Emma Jean Daniels; three sons, Kenneth Carl, Jimmie and Charles Daniels, all at home; the father, J.M. Daniels, Pikeville; one sister Mrs. Lula D. Swann, Louisa; three brothers, R. A. and Virgil Daniels, Pikeville, and the grandfather B.L.
