MATILDA DANIELS
1877-1953
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at the home at Boones
Camp for Mrs. Matilda Daniels, 76, who died Saturday following
an illness of six years.
Death was contributed to a heart attack.
Born Sept. 5, 1877 at Williamsport, she was the daughter of G.
L. and Julia Pack Preston.
She was a member of the United Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death in 1936 by her husband J. W.
Daniels.
Surviving are seven sons, Norman, Ora and Josh, all of Boones
Camp; Lafe, Hager Hill; John and Shylo, Yolyn, W. Virginia;
and Arville, West Van Lear; four daughters, Mrs. Minnie
Waller, Mrs. Maxine Dennison, Mrs. Stella Mae Lackey, all of
Boones Camp; Mrs. Callie Collins, Odds.
Also surviving are four brothers, Charlie Preston, city, N. M.
Preston, and I. D. Preston, Williamsport; L. T. Preston, city,
one sister, Mrs. Mahala Daniel, Silver Creek, New York; 78
grandchildren and 79 great-grandchildren.
Burial was made in the Daniels Cemetery at Boones Camp under
the direction of the Preston Funeral Home.
