Johnson County Man Passes In Huntington Hospital
Major Daniel, age 67, well-known Johnson citizen, died at St.
Mary's Hospital, Huntington, W. Va., Sunday March 3 1940.
He entered the hospital on Thursday and died the following Sunday.
The body was brought to the Preston Funeral Home prepared for
burial.
It was later taken to the home of Mrs. Rickman, a daughter, at
Offutt where funeral services were conducted by Rev. Guy W.
Preston and Rev. Williamson.
Burial was made in the family cemetery at the mouth of Banjo
Creek.
He was a member of a large and prominent family.
He was the son of Pete Daniel and was reared in the White House
section of the county.
His wife preceded him in death a number of years ago.
He is survived by three sons and three daughters and a large
number of other relatives.
