HEBER CONLEY 1890 1963 Heber Conley, 72, local resident and well-known building contractor, died of a heart attack in a local hospital at 7:30 Friday, April 19, 1963, after an illness of two weeks. Mr.Conley was born at Hager Hill June 16, 1890, the son of the Late Henry and Katherine Rice Conley. He was a veteran of World War I and had lived in this city most of his life. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Julia Hayslett Conley, whom he married March 17, 1913. Other survivors include three sons, James Heber, Robert M. and Morris Conley all of this city; two daughters, Mrs. Glen Butcher and Mrs. E. T. Sherman both of this city; three sisters, Mrs. Fred Sherman, Thealka; Mrs. Ben J. Spradlin and Mrs. Virginia Preston of this city. Funeral services were conducted Monday at the First Baptist Church with the Reverend Bill Davidson and Rev. Jim Wallace as officiating ministers. Burial was in the Mayo Cemetery.
