STERLING CASTLE

STERLING CASTLE, 83 died October 4 1982 in Highlands
Regional Medical Center, Floyd Co Ky., after an
extended illness.

Mr. Castle was born April 30 1899, in Johnson County,
the son of Clark and Nancy VanHoose Castle. 

He was a resident of Nippa, a retired miner and state
mine inspector, and a member of the 
Freewill Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife Fannie Daniels Castle; six sons,
B.L. Castle Leesburg,Fla., Joe Add Castle, Bluffton Ind,
Quintin Castle, Ashley,Ohio, Everett Castle, Nippa,
Harrison Castle, Clay Pool, Ind.,and Jimmy Castle,
Wabash, Ind; two daughters, Joyce Lee Staniford,
Wabash,Ind, and Bonnie Stambaugh, Louisville; a brother
Oscar Castle, Winifred, 18 grandchildren and six great 
grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday,
October 6 at 10:00 a.m. in Chandlersville Masonic Lodge
Hall, Lowmansville, with Irvin Castle officiating.

Burial will be in the Clark Castle Cemetery, Nippa, with
Jones-Preston Funeral Home in 
charge of arrangements.
