SARAH FRANCES CASTLE
Mrs. Sarah Frances Castle, 73, resident of River,
Johnson Co Ky., died in a local hospital at
3:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 6 1964, after
an extended illness.
A daughter of the late Henry and Lena Castle Scarberry,
she was born in this county February 22 1891 and had
resided at River most of her life. She was a member
of the Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son Arthur Scarberry, Lowmansville;
eight daughters, Mrs. Jessie Fitch and
Mrs. Burton Fitch both of this city; Mrs Lora Castle
and Mrs. Cora Ellen Castle both of Nippa;
Mrs. Clara Copas, Urbana, Ohio; Mrs. Tivis Stambaugh,
Fairborn Ohio; Mrs. Ovalee VanHoose of Dayton,Ohio;
Mrs. Carl Hayes, Louisa,;two sisters, Mrs Bertha Castle,
Lowmansville; Mrs. Dicie O"Brien, Columbus, Ohio;
three brothers, Alfred Scarberry Lowmansville;
Foster Scarberry Nippa; Malcolm Scarberry, Drift; also
surviving are thirty-one grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday
at Tom's Creek Freewill Baptist Church with
Claude Preston as officiating minister.
Burial was in Sycamore Cemetery at Nippa.
