G.C. CASTLE 1888-1963 G.C. "Cleve" Castle 75, died Wednesday, June 12 1963 at the home of a son, Dekota Castle, Nippa, following an extended illness. The son of the late Charlie and Rebecca Wiley Castle, he was born in this county May 1 1888, and had been a lifelong resident of the county. He was a retired miner and a member of the Freewill Baptist Church. His wife, Virgie Saddler Castle, preceded him in death January 28 1953. Surviving are two sons, Richard Castle, Tutor Key; Grover Castle, Lowmansville; four daughters, Mrs. Carmel VanHoose, Sitka; Mrs. Arthur Scarberry and Mrs. Ellis Scarberry both of Lowmansville; Mrs. Ruby Daniel, Springfield, Ohio; a brother, James Castle, Cisco; Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Mouth of Ruch Freewill Baptist Church with Claude Preston, Lifus VanHoose and Don Fraley as officiating ministers. Burial was in the Sycamore Cemetery at Nippa.
