Edna May Castle, 83, of Urbana, Ohio, formerly of Johnson County,
died Friday, Dec. 16, at her residence.
  
Born Aug. 14, 1922, in Johnson County, she was a daughter of the
late Millard and Emma Ratcliff Vanhoose. She was a homemaker.
      
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Noah Castle.
  
Survivors include a son, Noah Lee Castle, Jr. of Urbana; three
daughters, Lula Faye Kemp and Betty Hall, both of Urbana, and Emma
Robson of Springfield, Ohio; four sisters, Irene Castle and Virgie
Picklesimer, both of Urbana, Margie Ward of Thealka, and Kathryn
Wilcox of Louisa; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and
one great-great-grandchild.
  
Funeral services were Tuesday, Dec. 20, at Jones-Preston Funeral
Home Chapel, Paintsville.
  
Burial was in Clarke-Castle Cemetery, Lowmansville, under
direction of Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
