AMOS A. CASTLE 1950 AMOS A. CASTLE, 67, died at his home at Lowmansvville at 6:30 a.m. Sunday May 7,1950 of a heart condition, following a year's illness. The son of Amos A. and Loucinda Castle he was born in this county and was a lifelong resident of Lowmansville. He was affillated with the Freewill Baptist Church and was a well-known farmer of the community. He was married at Nippa in 1906 to Bertha Scarberry, who survives him. Surviving besides his wife are seven children; five daughters, Merle Sadler, Monie Preston, Envie Chandler, Zelma Singer, Edna Hampton; two sons, Mitchel, Amos Jr. Surviving also are a sister, Sarah Castle, and a brother, Willie Castle. Burial was at Sycamore Tuesday, May 9 with the Revs.Don Fraley and Claud Preston officiating. Burial was in the Sycamore Cemetery under the direction of the G.W. Preston Funeral Home. (Note: This is also known as the "Clark Castle Cemetery")
