MARTHA BUTCHER

Mrs. Martha Butcher, 58, wife of Atley Butcher of Williamsport, died
in a local hospital of cancer after a year’s illness at 3 a.m.
Thursday, March 29.
  
The daughter of Joe and Maggie Mollett Litton, she was born at Boons
Camp, May 15, 1904.
  
She was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church. Other survivors
include a brother, William Litton, Akron, OH, a half brother, Albert
Litton, Akron, OH; a half sister, Mrs. Ben Allen, Beauty.
  
Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday from the Phillip
Cove Freewill Baptist Church with Melvin Sesco and Mack Providence as
officiating ministers.
  
Burial was in the Butcher Cemetery at Williamsport.
