JOE BURTON
1886-1967
Joe Burton, 82, of River, died Saturday, July 1, at the Paintsville
Hospital.
He had been in ill health for a year prior to his death.
Born May 15, 1886 at Blaine, he was the son of Pierce and Mary Pack
Burton. He had been residing at River for the past seven years.
He was a member of the Church of God.
Survivors include two brothers, Andrew Burton of Cattletsburg and
Frank Burton of Nippa, a sister, Thursa Preston of River, and a
half-sister, Viola Hite of Cattletsburg.
Services were held Tuesday at the Mouth of Rush Freewill Babptist
Church, with Millard Vanhoose officiating.
Burial followed in the Clark Castle Cemetery at Sycamore.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Preston Funeral Home.
