ORBER T. BROWN
1898-1982
O. T. Brown, 84, died March 20 in his Paintsville home after an
extended illness.
Born March 3, 1898, in Letcher County, he was the son of Jim and
Sally Dixon Brown. A resident of Paintsville, he was a retired deputy
County Court clerk and a member of the United Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Lillian Tackett Brown; four brothers, Wendell
and Ray Brown, Ulvah, Ky., Wayne Brown, Indiana, and Jack Brown,
Blackey, Ky.; and two sisters, Mrs Dovell Caudill, Ulvah, and Mrs.
Mary Carr, Kansas.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 22, in Jones-Preston Funeral
Chapel, Paintsville, with Elders John Pelphrey and Lonza Reed
officiating.
Burial was in the family cemetery at Staffordsville.
