Mrs. G. M. Brown Dies at Volga
Funeral Services Held January 20

Mrs. Minnie Brown, 67, wife of George M. Brown, died at her home
at Volga at 5:30 a.m., Sunday, January 18, after an illness of
several years.

Mrs. Brown was born at Nippa, Ky., June 26, 1880, the daughter of
Joseph and Sally Harmon Daniel. She was a prominent and respected
member of the community in which she had lived for 30 years.

She is survived by her husband and six children; two daughters,
Mrs. Everett Lemaster of Dwale, Ky., and Mrs. Cecil Hitchcock of
Volga, Ky., four sons, Charles, Clyde, Claude, and Clarence.
Surviving also are her aged mother, Mrs. Sally Daniel of Nippa,
three sisters, Mrs. Jennie Grimm of Stambaugh, and Mrs. Julia
Arrowood of Van Lear and two brothers, Milt Daniel of Nippa and
Arthur Daniel of Sitka.

Funeral services were conducted at the home at 10:00 a.m.
Thursday, January 20, by Rev. Harry Salyer.

Burial was in the family cemetery.
