Jones-Preston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
for Lillian Brown, 96, who died Monday, January 31,2000
at her Van Lear residence.
  
Mrs. Brown was born September 28, 1903, in Johnson County,
to the late Sanford and Dora Bayes Tackett.
  
She was also preceded in death by her husband, O.T. Brown,
in 1982. Surviving are one brother, Harvey Tackett
of West Van Lear; and one sister, Lorraine Conley of Hager
Hill.
  
Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, February 2,
at 1 p.m. at Fish Trap United Baptist Church, with
Elder John R. Pelphrey officiating.
  
Burial will be in Persimmon Point Cemetery at
Staffordsville.
