CLARENCE BROWN 1917-2002 JOHNSON COUNTY Clarence Brown, 84, of Paintsville, died Friday, April 12, 2002 at the VA Hospital, Huntington, W.Va. Born Aug. 11, 1917, in Johnson County, a son of the late George M. and Minnie Alice Daniels Brown, he was a retired math teacher with Johnson County School Systems and a WW II U. S. Army veteran. Survivors include a son, Johnathan Edward Brown of Volga; three daughters, Rhonda Brown Blair of Paintsville, Deborah Brown of Stanton and Tenna Smith of Russell; a sister, Susie Hitchcock of Salyersville; and six grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Charles Heater Monday, April 15, at Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel, Paintsville. Burial was in Brown Family Cemetery, Salyers Branch. Jones-Preston Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
