WILLIAM CHESTER BROOKS

William Chester Brooks, 50, died Sunday, January 15 at Lapeer
Hospital in Lapeer, Michigan.
  
Mr. Brooks was born May 7, 1944 in Charlotte, North Carolina, the
son of Hester Ferguson Preston of Lexington and the late Clyde
William Brooks.  He was an electrician.
  
Surviving are his mother; one son, Jason James Brooks of Kingston,
Michigan; one daughter Kristin Amy Brooks of Roseville, Michigan;
and three sisters, Georgia Lea Harrison of Wendell, North
Carolina, Euelene Mabley of Lexington and Irene Preston of
Jacksonville, Florida.
  
Funeral services were held Thursday, January 19 at Paintsville
Funeral Home Chapel, with Elders Charles Price officiating.
  
Burial was in Hamilton Cemetery at Red Bush.
  
Pallbearers were Jason Brooks, Vernon Hall, Marcus Cristoforo,
Billy Harrison, Gary Mabley, Matthew Mabley and Bob Ferguson.
