JOHN R. BRANHAM
1914-1970
John R. Branham, who lived in Meally and worked as a carpenter, died
November 2 in a Paintsville hospital, he was 56.
The little Friendship United Baptist Church was the site of the
November 5 funeral services held by Arthur Preece, Everett Crum and
Elzie Banks.
Burial took place in the Branham Cemetery at Boons Camp, under the
direction of the Preston Funeral Home.
Surviving are his wife, Dixie Mollett Branham; three sons William D.
Branham of Boons Camp. James Branham of Dayton, Ohio, and Gary
Branham of Meally; eight daughters, Mrs Lois Fitch, Misses Maryln,
Janet and pam Branham all of Meally, Mrs. Ruby Price of RIver, Mrs.
Mildred Wells and Mrs. HelenDavis both of Ypsilanti, Mich. Also three
brothers, Ben Branham of Boons Camp, Jeff Branham of Paintsville, and
Warren Branham in Dayton Ohio; three sisters Mrs. Grace Sieford of
Evart Mich., Mrs. Margaret Campbell of Springfield, Ohio and Mrs.
Lydia Penix of prestonburg, as well as 18 grandchildren.
His parents were the late Alice Mollett Branham.
