ELIAS BRANHAM
Elias Branham, 40, died at 8:00 p.m., February 17, 1950 at
his home in Clothier, W. Va., after an illness of four years,
of pulmonary tuberculosis.
Mr. Branham, son of John and Martha Mollett Branham of Boons
Camp, Ky., was born April 4, 1909 in Johnson County.
He had been a resident of Clothier, W. Va., for ten years and
was affiliated with the United Baptist Church.
His occupation was that of miner.
He was married in 1926, at Inez, Ky., to Maria Penix, who
survives him.
Other survivors include a daughter and four sons; Darlene
Branham, Earl, Burl, Elmer, Elias, all of Clothier, W. Va.,
four sisters, Mrs. Sylvia Bowen, Ashland, Mrs. Grace Osborne,
and Mrs. Margaret Butler, both of Lima, Ohio, Mrs. Lydia
Penix, Boons Camp, and four brothers, Jeff Branham,
Branchland, W. Va., Ben and John R. both of Boons Camp and
Warren, Odds, Ky.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 20,
at the Little Friendship United Baptist Church at Boons Camp,
with Revs. Flem Arrowood, Glen Arrowood, Winifred Meek,
Leonard Walters, and Arthur Preece officiating.
Burial was in the Branham cemetery under the direction of the
Preston Funeral Home.
