WILLIAM WORTHY BLEVINS
1896-1974

William Worthy Blevins 78, of Wittensville, died Thursday
March 7 1974 after an extended illness.

The Johnson County native was the son of the late Elisha
Blevins and Mrs. Lizzie Craft Blevins, who survives,
and was born February 17 1896.

He was preceded in death by his wife Linnie Mae Stamper
Blevins, on December 2 1967.

Surviving in addition to his mother are five sons, Bruce
of South Salem, Ohio, George of Ashland Ky., Ottie of
Wittensville, Harry of Paintsville, and Jimmy of St.Maries,
Ohio; four daughters, Lula Adkins of Ashland, Ella Hornie
and Bonnie Webb, both of Wabash, Indiana, and Jerry Tackett
of Staffordsville; three sisters, Mrs. Beechie McKenzie,
Mrs. Leah Colvin and Mrs. Shirley Kinf, all of
Staffordsville, three brothers, Judge Blevins of
Paintsville, Wayne Blevins of Sitka and Shoppel Blevins of
Tampa, Florida, 23 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday March 9 in the
Enterprise Baptist Church at Kertz with Reverends Ellis
Hamilton, Bruce Daniel and Harold Salyer officiating.

Burial was in the Jaynes Cemetery at Staffordsville
with arrangements under the direction of the
Paintsville Funeral Home.
