Rites at Van Lear For Susan Blevins

Mrs. Susan A. Blevins, 78, widow of the late Sol Blevins, Van Lear,
died from a heart attack at the home of her daughter, Neva Mae
Salyers, at 10:15 p.m., November 6 1950.

She was born February 18, 1872, in Johnson County and was the
daughter of John Wilse and Ella Tackett Lemaster. She was a member
of the Enterprise Baptist Church.

Surviving sons and daughters are; Lonza, East Point; Lewis,
Paintsville; Wiley, Flat Gap; Dan, Meally; and Arnold Blevins, Van
Lear; Mrs. Mary Ann Salyers, Van Lear; Mrs. Flora Alice Corner, San
Antonio, Texas; Mrs. Emma Adkins, Paintsville; and Mrs. Geneva Mae
Salyers, Van Lear.

Also surviving is one sister, Mrs. Martha Burkes, Kerz.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 10, at the Freewill
Baptist Church, Van Lear, with the Rev. Elzie Banks, Bruce Daniel and
Arthur Ramey officiating.

Burial will follow in the Staffordsville-Jaynes Cemetery with the
Jones Funeral Home directing.
