Calvin C. “George” Blevins, 88, of Staffordsville, died Thursday, Feb.
21, 2002 at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, W.Va.
  
Born Feb. 22, 1913, in Johnson County, he was a son of the late Elzie
Blevins and Rodie Clark Blevins.
  
He was a retired farmer and a U.S. Army veteran.
  
Survivors include his wife, Loretta Salyer Blevins; a daughter, Dottie
Oralee Blevins King of Staffordsville; a brother, Herbert Blevins of
Dayton, Ohio; two grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren; and two
great-great-grandchildren.
   
Graveside services were Monday, Feb. 25, at Family Cemetery,
Staffordsville, with Kenny Pelphrey officiating.
   
Burial followed under direction of Jones-Preston Funeral Home,
Paintsville.
