MARY BLANTON 1881-1961 Mrs. Mary Blanton, 80, died at her home on Depot Road at 1:05 p.m., Tuesday, December 19, after an illness of two months. The daughter of the late David and Annie Holbrook Smith, she was born in Morgan County October 4, 1881, and had made her home in this city for the past forty-two years. She was a member of the New Regular Baptist Church. Her husband, Elzie Blanton, preceded her in death in 1926. Survivors included two sons, Everett Blanton, Staffordsville; Wallace Blanton, Paintsville; two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Walker, Fairborn, Ohio; Mrs. Annie Burke, Columbus, Ohio. Also surviving are twenty-five grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Thursday from the Old Union Church at Staffordsville with Lonza Reed and Kermit Preston as officiating ministers.
