MABLE IRENE BLANTON
1928-2008

Mable Irene Tackett Blanton, 80, of Paintsville, died Friday, April
11, at Riverview Health Care Center, Prestonsburg.
Born Jan. 29, 1928, in Johnson County, she was a daughter of the
late Ray and Angieline Jayne Caudill. She was co-owner of Blanton
Artic Ice Company.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Everett "Tubby"
Blanton, in 1996; two sons, Gary Russell Jones and Robert Bix
Blanton; a brother, Paul Francis Caudill; and a sister, Helen
Louise Tackett.
Survivors include step-mother, Marie Tackett of Thealka; a son,
Brian Keith Blanton of Paintsville; a daughter, Brenda Carol
Blanton Caudill of Paintsville; eight sisters, Anna Lee Hildreth
and Ruby Faye Caudill, both of Urbana, Ohio, Beulah Mae Logel of
Canada, Jo Ann Burgh of Cable, Ohio, Mary Evelyn Thompson of Troy,
Ohio, Brenda O'Bryan of Thealka, Becky Bangudi of Springfield,
Ohio, and Helen Louise Huff of Ohio; five grandchildren; and four
great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Monday, April 14, at Jones-Preston Funeral
Home Chapel, Paintsville, with Ellis Hamilton, Willie Fairchild,
Buddy McKenzie, and Gerald Fairchild officiating.
Burial was in Jayne Family Cemetery, Staffordsville, under
direction of Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
