Lilly V. Blanton  Dies in Lexington
  
Lilly V. Blanton, 37, died in Lexington hospital Monday, July 19,
1948 after an illness of several years.
  
Mrs. Blanton was born March 24, 1911 the daughter of Helen and
Della Lewis Caudill. She was the widow of William Martin Blanton,
who preceded her in death about two years ago.
  
For many years she had been a faithful and devoted member of the
United Baptist Church.
  
She is survived by four children, her mother, Mrs. Shug Williams of
Asa, three sisters, Mrs. Bessie Burton, Cincinnati, Mrs. Estill
Blanton, Leander and Mrs. Raymond Spradlin, Dener, and two
brothers, Willie and Warnie Caudill both of Auxier.
  
Funeral services were conducted Friday, July 23, 1948, at the
Beechwall Baptist Church by Ministers of the United Baptist Church
and burial was at Swamp Branch, under the direction  of the Jones
Funeral Home.
