FLEM BLANTON
1917-1999
    
Age 82, of Prestonsburg, died Monday, April 12, 1999, at Highlands
Regional Medical Center.
  
A son of the late Darcas Fairchild and Roscoe Blanton, he was born
March 10, 1917, in Kenwood.
  
He was a pipefitter and a member of the United Baptist Church.
  
Survivors include his wife, Sina Rice Blanton; his son, Warren Blanton
of Allen; two daughters, Juanita B. McKinney of Louisville and Loretta
B. Hunt of South Bend, Indiana; one sister, Gusta McCarty of Oil
Springs; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
  
Funeral services were conducted Thursday, April 15, at 11 a.m., in the
Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel with ministers Manford Fannin, Jerry
Smith and Dewey McCarty officiating.
   
Burial was made in the Roscoe Blanton Cemetery at Oil Springs.
