World War II veteran Everett"Tubby"Blanton, 71, died March 16, 1996
at Paul B. Hall Medical Center, Paintsville, Johnson Co Ky.
  
He was born September 6,1924 in Johnson County the son of Everett and
Ercie Pence Blanton. He was an ice salesman.
  
Mr. Blanton is survived by his wife Mable Tackett Blanton; two sons
Brian Blanton of Paintsville and Gary Jones of Springfield, Ohio; one
daughter, Brenda Caudill of Paintsville; two brothers, James Blanton
and Paul Tackett both of Staffordsville; five grandchildren and two
great grandchildren.
  
Funeral services were at Jones Preston Funeral Home Chapel with Jack
Woody, Ellis Hamilton and Dick VanHoose officiating.
  
Burial was at Jayne Cemetery in Staffordsville.
  
Jones-Preston Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
