Mrs. Dorcas Fairchild Blanton, 68, lifelong resident of Kenwood, Ky,
died Thursday, July 23, at a local hospital following an  illness of
several weeks.

The daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Conley Fairchild, she was born
September 14, 1884, at Kenwood.

She was a member of the United Baptist Church.

Surviving are the husband, Roscoe Blanton, two sons, Flem Blanton,
Kenwood, Rexford Blanton, Manila, three daughter, Mrs. Woodrow
McCarty, Buchanan, Mrs. Clyde McCarty, Cannonsburg, Miss Ruie Blanton,
Kenwood; one brother, Henry Fairchild, Kenwood; four sisters, Mrs.
Alice Colvin, Mine Fork, Mrs. Mary McCarty, Hendricks, Mrs. Sarah
Blanton, Paintsville, and Mrs. Ellen Blanton, Win.

Funeral services were held Sunday, July 26, at the home with Revs.
Lonza Reed, Buel Ferguson, Dona Conley, and Francis Blair officiating.

Burial was made in the family cemetery at Kenwood under the direction
of the Paintsbille Funeral Home.
