CHATTIE BLACKBURN 1907-1959 Mrs. Chattie Blackburn, 52, former county resident, died July 4, 1959 at 8:30 p.m., at the home of Eddie Bowens in Yolyn, W.Va. of cancer following an illness of one year. Mrs. Blackburn was born at Boons Camp, March 6, 1907, the daughter of Grant and Lizzie Scarberry Hale. She had been living in Yolyn W.Va. for the past seven months. Mrs. Blackburn was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Tracy Blackburn, and the following brothers and sisters: Jay Hale, Yolyn, W.Va.; Bill Hale, Wharton, W.Va. Stant Hale, Boons Camp; Mat Hale, Lundale, W.Va.; Emma Perry, Boons Camp; Louisa Bowens, Yolyn, W.Va.; Mouvernia Patrick, Boons Camp. Funeral services were conducted at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday from the Boons Camp Free Will Baptist Church with James Lyons as officiating minister. Burial was in the Dennie Pigg Cemetery at Boons Camp.
