RICHARD H. BEVIL 1892-1968 Richard H. Bevil, 76, a retired miner who resided at Van Lear died July 25 in the Marion General Hospital at Marion, Indiana. Mr. Bevil, a member of the Pentecostal Church, had been ill for an extended period. He was born in Bell County in January, 1892, the son of the late Scott and Sidney Ann Alexander Bevil. Survivors include his wife, Elsie McCoy Bevil, a son, Homer, of Van Lear, and a daughter, Mrs. Jewel Clay of Marion. Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs Mary Fullerton and Mrs. Phoebe Stanley of Wittensville and Mrs. ???? ?????? who lives in West Virginia. Services were held Monday July 29, at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home, with Rev. John Marshal officiating. Burial followed in the Clevenger Cemetery at Van Lear. The Jones-Preston Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Paintsville Herald July 31, 1968
