DON BAYES
1899-1984

Don Bayes, 85, died April 29 1984 in Hall Medical Center following
an extended illness.

Born April 6, 1899 in Johnson County, he was the son of Leander
and Dora Estep Bayes.

A resident of west Van Lear, he was a member of the United Baptist
Church.

Surviving are his wife, Nancy Blair Bayes; two daughters, Mrs.
Loretta Carpenter, Ashland, and Mrs. peggy Butcher, Catlettsburg,
three brothers, Woodrow Bayes, Chillicothe, OH., Gene Bayes,
Ocala, FL, and Buzz Bayes, Baltimore, MD; three sisters, Neva
Rice, Raceland, Thelma Hughes, Ashland and Venice Jones,
Paintsville, and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, May 2 at 11 a.m.
in Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel with Elder J. T. Bailey and
Rev. Cecil Sherman officiating.

Burial will be in Hager Hill Cemetery.
