Funeral services were held March 26 in Jones-Preston
Funeral Home Chapel for Dicie Bayes, 81.
   
Mrs. Bayes died March 24 1985, in Paul B. Hall
Regional Medical Center.
  
Born November 9 1903, in Johnson County, she was the
daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Murray Ramey.
  
She was a resident of Salyersville.
  
Her husband, Newt Bayes, preceded her in death June 10 1958.
  
Surviving are two sons, Elbert Bayes, of Hager Hill;
and Paul Bayes of Staffordsville; a brother, Tom Ramey, 
of Springfield, Ohio; three sisters, Ella Hackworth,
of Carey, Ohio; Hattie Blanton, of Chillicothe, Ohio;
and Ruby Franklin, of Portsmouth, Ohio; and four
grandchildren.
       
Elder James H. Blair officaiated at services with burial
in Pete Bayes Cemetery at Swamp Branch.
