Former Johnson County resident, Virginia "Ginger" Battista, 67, of
Louisville, died Saturday, May 17, at Baptist East Hospital in
Louisville, Ky.

Mrs. Battista was the former Virginia Blanton of Oil Springs and a
waitress at John E's Restaurant in Louisville.

Surviving are her husband, Dominic Battista; two daughters; Angela
Battista of Cleveland, Ohio, and Gina Battista of Louisville;
stepmother, Norma Blanton of Salyersville; three brothers, John
Blanton of Ashland, Bill Blanton of Walton and Herb Blanton of
Wabash, Indiana; three sisters, Hazel Boyd of Louisville, Ethel
Colvin of Oil Springs and Ada Caudill of Russell; one stepbrother,
Tyra Lee Blanton of Marion, Ohio; and one stepsister, Shella Kay
Litterel of Salyersville.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 20, at Fish Trap Baptist
Church in Johnson County.

Burial was in Jayne Cemetery, with Paintsville, Funeral Home in
charge of local arrangements.
