ANDREW J. BARNETT 1884-1951 Passes Jan. 18 Services At Kerz For Urbana Resident Andrew J. Barnett, 76, Urbana, Ohio, father of Mrs. Leslie Van Hoose, city, passed away at 11:00 a.m., January 18, in an Urbana Hospital, after an illness of one and one-half years. A cerebral hemorrhage was reported as the cause of death. A retired grocery merchant, he was born May 4, 1884, in Johnson County, and had been a resident of Urbana for the past 24 years. His wife preceded him in death in 1918. Surviving besides his daughter living in Paintsville is another daughter, Mrs. Augusta Ray, Farmington, Mich.; and the follow sons: Maurice, Detroit; Clarence, Urbana; John, Cleveland; Russell, Columbus. Also surviving is one half brother, John Picklesimer, Mingo, Ohio. Funeral rites were held at 2:00 p.m., January 21 at the Jones Funeral Home by the Rev. Claude Preston. Music was provided by the Williams Quartette. Burial was made in the family cemetery at Kerz under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home. January 25, 1951 Paintsville Herald
