W.H. BAILEY 1890-1958 Services Sunday At Flat Gap For W. H. Bailey W. H. "Hige" Bailey. 67, died at his home at Flat Gap Friday morning, June 12, the victim of a sudden heart attack. A son of Daniel and Rebecca Holbrook Bailey, he was born at Flat Gap July 3, 1890, and had been a lifelong resident of that community, where he engaged in farming. He was a veteran of World War 1. Surviving are his widow, Mona Ferguson Bailey, and one brother, Oscar Bailey, Danville. Funeral services were conducted Sunday at 2:00 p.m., from the Flat Gap Enterprise Baptist Church with Ellis Hamilton, Emery Ferguson, and Lonzo Reed as officiating ministers. Music was by the Toms Creek Quartet.
Burial was in the Flat Gap Cemetery. Paintsville Herald 6-18-1958 Wednesday
