Maurice D. Bailey, 66, died Monday, March 9, in his Charlotte, N.C.
home .
  
Born September 7, 1914, in Magoffin County, he was the son of Mr. and
Mrs. W. B. Bailey .
  
Mr. Bailey was a gas distributor, a member of the First United
Methodist Church and Charlotte Masonic Lodge, and a veteran of World
War II .
  
Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Annetta Dixon Bailey;
a son, james Michael Bailey, Charlotte, N.C., a daughter, Mrs. Ann
Basto, Davenport, Iowa; two brothers, W.C. and William G. Bailey,
Paintsville; and three grandchildren.
  
Funerla services were held Friday, March 13, in First United Methodist
Church, Paintsville, with Rev. Graham Abbott officiating.
  
Burial was in Mayo Memorial Cemetery Paintsville, with Paintsville
Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
